Music Under Glass: European String Fling

April 23, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Tulips in Monet Garden

Spring is upon us, and music is in the air. We invite you to celebrate nature’s re-awakening with us on Sunday, April 23, 2017, with our next Music Under Glass concert at the Garfield Park Conservatory. We will shine the spotlight on the beauty of string instruments.

Leading us on this musical journey are long-time Chicago residents and husband and wife violinists, John Robinson and Diane Duraffourg-Robinson; their fellow Chicago Lyric Opera veteran, cellist Walter Preucil; and violist, Eric Shumsky, who is also the director of Music Under Glass.

The concert will pay tribute to European composers, including to the great Giacomo Puccini and his “Chrysanthemums” quartet. This ties in beautifully with our surroundings – the musical masterpiece reminds us of the Garfield Park Conservatory’s exquisite Spring collection.

Tickets on sale now! The $25 General Admission ticket includes a seat for the performance.  GPCA members receive $5 off the General Admission ticket.

Are you a GPCA Member and can’t find your discount code? Please contact Marie Stringer, Development Coordinator, at mstringer@garfieldpark.org.
