The Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance changes lives through the power of nature. We help visitors learn about plants, environmental responsibility and conservation, build economically, socially sustainable and healthy communities, and establish the Conservatory as an arts and cultural institution.

School Field Trips and Educational Resources
Before the pandemic, over 20,000 Chicago students visit the Garfield Park Conservatory on field trips each year at no cost. Now, education staff are creating remote learning resources like our Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) curriculum guides and virtual field trips for our 8 West Side partner schools.

Providing Local Produce to West Side Community Partners
The Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance grows, harvests and donates produce from our Demonstration Garden and Giving Garden. In 2020, we donated 901 pounds of produce and over 300 seedlings to the community!

Free programs for all ages
Popular programs like yoga, 2nd Wednesday Lectures, gardening and beekeeping demonstrations are continuing on virtual platforms.

Special Exhibitions
The Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance and the Chicago Park District partner to bring large exhibits such as The Flowers of Monet, solarise: a sea of all colors, Chihuly, Giants and Niki in the Garden.
